Copy Other Stock Item Just Got Smarter!

If you manage your Beacon stock file, you'll know that adding new items can feel repetitive - especially when a new product is similar to one you already have. That's why we've made some handy improvements to the Copy Other Stock Item feature to make the process a little cleaner and a lot more accurate.

Here's what's changed:

Barcodes are no longer copied Since barcodes are unique to each product, the new item will no longer inherit the barcode from the copied item — saving you the step of having to manually clear it out.

Cat Codes are no longer copied Category codes won't carry across either, giving you a clean slate. Don't worry though — key supplier details like Supplier and List Price still come across as expected.

Automatically add to existing promotions This is the handy one! You'll now have the option to automatically add your new item to any promotions that the original item is already listed in - no need to go hunting through your promotions manually afterwards.

Together these changes mean fewer things to clean up after copying, and a smoother experience when building out your stock file.
